I've so looked forward to watching those amazing British shows but all I can find is goofy reality TV. What's up? Where should i be looking?

Yes there is a lot of crap on UK TV. The good shows will appear. The best TV guide is either the Radio Times weekly magazine, or the Saturday guide in the Guardian newspaper.

BBC1 & ITV tend to have the 'popular' (or 'crap', as Pauline would put it...) programmes; BBC2, BBC4 and Channel 4 are the stations to focus on.

The Guardian does an online tv guide.
BBC 4 and Channel 4 are different? How do I get channel 4? A silly question but I've been having some difficulty sorting out the channel numbers. I find the BBC website a little overwhelming. And ITV, I think I found it but not sure. Haven't watched anything yet. Just trying to sort it all out.

Channel 4 is a commercial channel (like ITV), so you won't find it on any BBC website. More info at channel4.com.
