Budapest to Bucharest - Book Recomendations

Not slow in the convential sense but ... we are finally returning to Europe and doing so via a river cruise from Budapest to Bucharest. Most everything on the ground is taken care of but what I'm looking for are fiction books set anywhere in Hungary or Romania (for now). I enjoy reading these to get a sense of place. I'm partial to historical fiction as well as any mysteries.
