Ferry to Croatia from Italy

Has anyone ever taken the ferry from Pescara or Ancona?

I've taken the overnight ferry from Split to Ancona. We paid for a room with a toilet and sink. It worked perfectly. Lots of people spent the night on the deck but that didn't appeal to me! The ferry arrived early in the morning in Ancona. It was a good short cut for getting to Italy.

I took that same ferry many years ago from Spilt to Ancona, probably about 1998! in those days it wasn't the best ferry but we did have the room w/toilet you describe so we slept and I remember many people just sleeping on the deck.
