Glad to be back...hello to all the Slow Trav refugees

I’m new to this group. Hello. I’m happily retired from a career as an urban planner and a nonprofit manager. My husband and I bought a house in Abruzzo Italy about 15 years ago, which ensures that we travel to Italy every year. Our son is married to a French woman and lives in Paris with our only grandson, which now means that we must visit Paris at least once a year. Last fall we went on our first tour, to Bulgaria, and loved it. We are “bargain” travelers for the most part. We use public transportation, stay in small locally owned hotels, inns, b&bs. Last year we also visited a number of towns in Romania, as well as Krakow, Copenhagen, Hamburg, and Berlin. We take advantage of the inexpensive flight from our local airport in Italy. That’s it for now.
