I was a SlowTrav poster and reader for over a decade. So sad to see it go, but now so happy to find SlowEurope! I'm a travel junkie and would be on the road half the year were it not for family obligations. We visit California a lot because our son and his family live in the Bay Area; and every Fall we go to Europe. We used to go to more exotic places, but now my husband can't stand the long plane rides! So when I get the urge for Africa or Asia I go alone. Luckily he doesn't mind. We're retired, so the time and opportunity are both there. Happy to be here!
