Food & Drink Historic Cafes in Italy

I love this line in the the article: "Caffe Florian, the grand dame of Italian coffee houses. It's the kind of elegant that makes you sigh." We spent a leisurely lunch there in October, listening to the orchestra and basking in the ambiance of Piazza San Marco. I still sigh just thinking about it.

Turin Al Bicerin. A stalwart in Torino since 1763 (!) the chocolatier and coffee house bears lead-glass store front windows outside, and warm wood like an old world pub inside, with bistro marble-top tables. Classy without fussy. To Try: the Bicerin, invented here -rich Torino chocolate meets coffee and cream. Piazza della Consolata.

We spent several days in Turin 2 years ago, we went there every day for "the Bicerin"!
