Good to see some familiar names from the annals of Slowtrav, plus a chance to chat with people new to me (as I am to them).
I'm based in UK, but like to get to Italy every year. My first visit there was in July 1990, and barring a first visit to Torino ~ 1995, the trips became much more frequent from 2000 onwards. These include Trentino, Valle d'Aosta, Piemonte (many many times), Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Liguria, Toscana, and then a bit of a geographical gap between those and Puglia, Campania and Sicilia.
We've also done a few trips to Amsterdam, mainly due to it being the single regular destination that allows Norwich airport to call itself Norwich International airport. However the more we've visited, the more we've grown to like the area beyond the Museum Quarter, and trips into the city centre are rare and quite focused.
and of course UK, where I was born and raised, so bits I know very well, but other places are utterly unknown.
