This system is really very convenient for quickly passing through security, but it's a pity that it doesn't work at all airports yet.Just used it at Newark airport and worked very well. Downloaded app allows those with GES membership to take a selfie right after deplaning and submit it rather than go through a usual GES passport/fingerprint kiosk. Not every airport equipped yet.
Recently returned from Rome to ORD. ‘Standard’ global entry line took >15”, while passengers who had downloaded the mobile GES breezed right through. Don’t know if that’s typical.
It's really cool that modern technologies make life so much easier and save a lot of time at airports around the world. By the way, I use additional software to store scans of passports, tickets, and offline notes while traveling. Like NotePlan or convenient file managers that I get from https://insights.setapp.com/ where there are a lot of useful utilities for travelers on Mac and iOS and a lot of interesting things about technology. I hope that soon absolutely all international terminals will introduce a similar system, because it really speeds up control and makes traveling much more pleasant and comfortable.
