Hello everyone - as recommended by the moderators of the Slow Travel site, which is closing down, I have joined here. I am an organic farmer from Israel. My wife and I fell in love with Piemonte, Italy, in 2008, during a tour that included the biennial Slow Food festival, the Salone del Gusto, in Torino. Since that trip we have returned another two times, most recently in last September. The geography, hospitality, and local food and farming aspects of Piemonte and north-west Italy are what have endeared the area to us.
I will be checking in on the Italy forum, hoping to be able to provide a tip or two if needed, and of course to benefit from recent travel experiences of other members. I can also try and advise travelers coming out this way.
