I couldn't have been more thrilled to be in northern Scotland during the announcement of the Northern Lights display. Unfortunately, we had cloud cover for both Friday and Saturday nights. I even woke up twice on Friday night at midnight and 4am. Ahh, not meant to be.

I saw the Northern Lights many years ago when I spent a year in northern Alberta (Jasper), but I would like to see them again. Too bad it was cloudy!!
