Off to Friuli in late March

For about three weeks..Milan to start..then Udine, Gorizia, Trieste..

Have done the basic research..any suggestions welcome

If you're up for about an hour's drive from Trieste, a day in Ljubljana, Slovenia, is worth it. A beautiful old town area with riverside attractions and nearby Lake Bled for a scenic boat ride to the little church on the island that you see on the postcards.
