Parking in Cortona

Visiting Cortona next week. Can you suggest parking lots with easy access to town. Also is there lot close to the Basilica di Santa Margherita Ive been told its a difficult walk from town. Than you for any information.

I haven't been to Cortona in some time, so I was hoping someone would have fresher information, but between my memory and Google Maps, there's plentiful parking outside the walls near the town center. Uphill in front of S. Margherita there's open space with parking; there's just potential for wrong turns going on the roads outside of town.

Visited last summer for a lunch date. My advice is get there early - parking around Cortona was a bit of a nightmare by 11:30.
