Question for clothing in France

We are traveling to Paris next week (and old slow travel user here) and as we have never traveled during the summer, is it okay to wear shorts everyday? I know it’s hot!
we will spend 3 days at Disneyland and then 5 days in Paris. Disneyland is easy..same as here. But Paris? Thanks!!

Yes, but I'd steer away from gym or super casual cargo shorts. Maybe opt for a polo or collared shirt (short sleeve!) with nicer shorts, tucked in & belted if you can tolerate that with the heat.

Depending where you plan to dine you might throw in a pair of lightweight chinos or something along that line. I've noticed more and more men in Paris wearing shirts untucked (especially if it's linen or something a little fitted) for casual wear - weekend, park, terrace dining/coffee, etc.

It is REALLY hot, friends just returned last week and temps were over 100 in the city.

Have a great time, Doug! Hopefully someone IN Paris will chime in with an "on the streets" report.
