Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has information about the Saints Peter and Paul public holiday and how it may affect visitors to Rome, the Vatican and the Vatican museums etc., restaurants and other activities. There doesn't seem to be too much information that I can find on-line other than it is a public holiday. Thanks.

We were there for this feast day four years ago and found that most restaurants were open. We actually ate dinner on Isola Tiberina at one of the restaurants that pop up there for the summer. I believe that Pizzeria Da Michele, the Neopolitan favourite is setting up there this year.
We watched the fireworks from Piazza Quirinale, a great vantage point
