Just got back from a lovely three weeks in Edinburgh, and although I was mostly on grandmother duty did manage to get out and about, especially to the Saturday morning farmer's market on the Castle Terrace, just under Edinburgh castle—a real must if you're in Edinburgh with a kitchen. And a lot of fun too even if you aren't. There's the buffalo burger man, the organic chocolate man, fat juicy organic raspberries but also my favourite- the Slighhouse hog roast roll with a garnish of crackling, haggis and apple sauce (there are other choices too, but if you opt the haggis, it really will keep you going for the rest of the day!)
