It is the classic case of tourism destroying what it was that attracted tourists in the first place. There are so many wonderful places to visit in Scotland and it is a pity that everyone just has to goto the same place - Skye in this case.

I had no idea Skye was so popular. We haven't been to Scotland since 1988 but I was thinking of going to Skye to see those big standing stones. Maybe in the winter! Summer has both midges and tourists
