We are enjoying watching the BBC series The Indian Doctor (2011-2013). Set in a small Welsh coal-mining town in the 1960s, the doctor and his wife--newly emigrated--have to figure out how to fit into the close-knit Welsh community. There are three seasons that are now streaming on the BBC iPlayer and Acorn TV in the US. The Indian Doctor is played by Sanjeev Bhaskar, remembered fondly as Nicola Walker's partner in Unforgotten.
