The Rains Have Arrived!

:( Oh well, it had to happen sometime. We've had a pretty good run. But there are flood warnings just as we have a couple of days in London.
It's pretty grim looking out my front window.

Ten minutes after you posted the sun came out here and it is glorious. If you don't like the weather, wait a minute and it will change. But, November through January can be gloomy here. The sun is not strong, the days are short, rain.

Photo from our walk in the sun. The Gloucester road going out of Painswick, where the Cotswold Way goes to the Painswick beacon.

I can't believe it. The day turned and it became brilliantly sunny. However I went to a free concert at the Holywell Music room, the oldest custom built music room in Europe(250 years), I'd been meaning to go and saw there was a student concert today. That's the ting about Oxford, it's hard to keep up with tthe events here.

Then I saw that Blackwells Books is hosting a author's reading tonight at the Sheldonian anothe spot I've wanted see. It's Marilynne Robinson reading from her new novel. She's a writer I haven't been able to read but perhaps hearing her will be inspiring.

Another beautiful sunny day today! As long as we get some of these now and then through these bleak months, it is bearable.

I have been posting a photo every day with the day's weather on Instagram (and it posts to Facebook and Twitter). I started last year mid-December when a big storm system was coming in, because I wanted a record of the weather.
