Those of you who are in Paris this weekend: don't miss the Marché des producteurs

I think quite a few of you are loose in Paris right now: Karen, Amy, Justtravel.

Don't miss this market where farmers from all over France converge here twice a year selling stuff that we can't find at the butchers, like duck heart and aiguillettes de canard (duck supreme), and incomparable Agen prunes.

About 2 years ago, the market started a very smart move: it set up long tables and benches while some stands offer their meats cookd to order, usually duck magret and sausages. Our fave was a duck burger. We were with a friend who had dined in a starred restaurant the day before, who preferred that duck burger and the whole Rabelaisian atmosphere.

All washed down with a nice bottle of red from one of the many wine-tasting stands, voilà a lovely meal.

Especially this Saturday, it will be nice and warm weather, perfect for one of the best and cheapest outdoor lunches of Paris.

See you all there, on boulevard Reuilly.

Very sorry to be missing this... I won't arrive til next Wednesday....
but hope to see you all soon!

Bon appétit!
Karen
