An interesting article recently posted on the Guardian web site by Tim Parks. This piece is a follow-up to his recent excellent book--The Hero's Way--about his retracing Garibaldi's March from Rome to Ravenna. Last summer, he retraced the subsequent march from Ravenna back across the peninsula to the Tuscan coast the next year.
