I find myself longing for travel and travel planning. We have nothing in the works, which is an odd sensation. I miss coming to the forums and connecting with you all. So, I came up with a reason to post!!
I thought we could share unique travel-related bits/loose ends that haven't been mentioned before. Something you use to plan, travel or just enjoy. As travelers all, I imagine we have some golden nuggets to share! I'll start:
http://www.extrapackofpeanuts.com This is the website, but my favorite part of the whole shebang is the podcasts. Travis' super power (we all have one) is credit card manipulation to travel as cheaply as possible, often free. Besides that, the site/podcast has great trip reports, guests that talk about how to house sit around the world, home exchange, work remotely, etc. (His wife co-hosts and she is a great photographer if you visit the IG site.) They're young so some of their "tips" and suggested packing items are old news to the mature among us. But because they're young the energy is great and passion for travel high. One of the most impressive stories is "Qaddafi's Point Guard..." an interview with Alex Owumi about playing basketball during the Arab Spring. Not your typical travel story at all!
