Help Needed Where should we base ourselves?

Lagrasse is about halfway between Narbonne and Carcassonne. If you're planning on driving, Google Maps is pretty accurate for drive times, provided you remember to add a bit for rests and possible delays.

Well, we finally decided and booked. After much deliberation, we booked a villa with a pool in Gordes. It seemed the best fit for our requirements and it was the one that I kept going back to so I knew that meant something. This is the one we booked.

Can anyone recommend a company which provides the personal liability insurance it seems we require to rent a property in France. We have rented all over the world previously and never needed it.

Shelley, I have rented many properties in France and I've never had personal liability insurance. I would not worry about this.

I have checked my annual travel policy and thankfully it appears I am already covered for it. Apparently, (and according to the Luberon website) it is a legal requirement.

I did get a standalone quote though initially, which was based on the rental price and it was Euro 110 which I thought was expensive.

I thought that the 600 euros cash security deposit would cover any issues and that the homeowners own house insurance would cover the rest, but this is apparently not the case.
