I had the most wonderful 5 days staying at Aiolina. (Oct 26-Oct. 31st). Many of you, from the "old" SlowTrav days remember Cristina Fassio who helped so many expats back in the day. I've wanted to stay here since Cristina first bought the property but...well...Covid) :(
My friend LeeAnn and I stayed in Zodiach apartment, 2BR/2Bath. We loved it! Comfy beds, plenty of coat hangers (which is a pet-peeve of mine). Plenty of relaxing sitting space, fireplace (they provide the wood). Cristina and her husband Massi live on-sight and are available to answer any questions, places to visit, restaurants, etc. The best part though is the VIEW! Coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening never tasted so glorious! It's a great location for day trips to so many nearby hill-towns. I know there are many places in the Chianti region to stay but do yourself a favor and put Aiolina on your "list". Great communication with Cristina from my first inquiry to arriving and then (sadly) leaving.

Happy travels!

Mindy
