Has anyone used CarHire.ie in Ireland? They seem to have good rates, as opposed to Dan Dooley and/or Hertz.
CarHire has been very favourably reviewed by a tour guide in Ireland. We have arranged for a letter to cover the "extra" CDW, from our credit card company. The rental will be for 12 days in October.

Appreciate your opinions.

I have not heard of carhire.ie. I always book through AutoEurope (.com when we lived in the US, .co.uk now that we are in the UK). They act as brokers mostly for the big car rental chains, but sometimes for smaller local companies. They have very good customer service if something goes wrong. Have you compared their prices to carhire.ie?

With no further responses, other than yours Pauline, we went back to drawing board, comparing all the bits and pieces. Europcar came out on top price wise and reassuring us with their immediate response to our queries.

We have rented from Europcar many times. They are a good agency.
