London-5 Nights-B&B Or Apt?

I don't even know if there are apartments for rent in London for less than a full week, especially in July. And I'm not sure if the additional cost (which I assume is the case) is really worth it for us. So - what do you think - should I search out short=term apartments, or would a B&B work just as well? Recommendations for either B&Bs or apartments welcome!

Both Amy and Kathy Wood have stayed in apartments in London and found well priced ones I think. I think places do rent by the day in London.

We've found a great studio rental in South Kensingon (fantastic neighborhood) that we've rented the last two years. Charley is there now. But this has a 7 day minimum rental. I know you can find some shorter rental periods in London. You might look at Airbnb for economical options. But it's important to stay in the central area... don't economize by staying in outer areas where you'd lose a lot of time commuting.

I think we've stayed in London seven times over the years, including our honeymoon. We had a two-week rental on our long trip, back in 2004, and then this studio the past two years. All our other stays have been three nights, and we've never paid for any of them. This is a place where I've always used points to pay for hotels. I know some people use Priceline for London hotels. I love London but it's expensive.

Also, remember that sometimes renting for a week when you only plan to spend 5 nights is less expensive than a hotel for five nights. It's always worth considering for stays of 5 or 6 nights.

Couple of years ago a rented apt for 3 nights - generally the bookings were minimum of 5 but lucked out with bookings at either side of the dates I wanted.

Here are 2 apts I found in London, thru Air B&B - https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/874329 and https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/752511?euid=37e16464-5c4f-bea9-64a8-5a988fd294d9 (sorry, I still can't remember how to do the links on this site!)

I like the one behind the London eye for it's location - somehow being near the river, the Eye, Westminster, etc is appealing, but the other apt is certainly well located too, and has a balcony with rooftop vies of London. Any thoughts? And does anyone know if there have been any issues in London with Air B&B?
