Paris Paris - Spring/Summer 2015

When we saw these loungers, we rested for a few minutes....

.......before going up the stairs to cross Pont Alexandre -

one of the many details of Pont Alexandre

dome of Invalides as seen from Pont Alexandre

A quick stop at Petit Palais -

the sculpture of Adam, Eve and the slain Abel
with the painting of Christ's resurrection on the wall

a painting of Les Halles in the 1800s

And continued on to Avenue des Champs-Élysées and Place de la Concorde -

And Jardin des Tuileries.......

By this time the legs were rather tired but we continued on pass the Pyramide du Louvre, Hotel de Ville, the Marais and to home. The 20-minute ride on the metro turned into a four-hour walk home.

But we did manage to stop in two Jewish bakeries for these -

Cheesecakes, chocolate cake, baklava, apple strudel, and a poppy seed/apple cake

And no, we didn't eat all of them that night.

I'm loving this trip report! Your photos are so pretty--Paris in bloom is gorgeous. But I think Paris "any way I can get her" is beautiful :) We've only been in Paris in the Spring (3xs). We were there in 2012 and happened upon the Fete du Pain and really enjoyed watching the chefs at work. The bread is absolutely the best! We'll be there in October and I'm excited to see a different face of my favorite city.

I don't know why but many of the image links no longer work in these posts. Too bad!! I am removing the links so we don't have bad links in this thread.
