Of this list, I have only been to Eus, Saint Amand de Coly, Talmont sur Gironde, Ansouis, Saint Véran.
I would add a reason for visiting Ansouis. On days when the Mistral wind is blowing in that part of Provence, the little garden behind the castle there not only has a beautiful parnoramic view but is also shielded from the wind. That's where we'd go for a windless lovely picnic even on days when the Mistral was raging.
And I would add
- Gargilesse Dampierre: Besides being beautiful, it is squarely the mid-point of the long driver between Paris and the Dordogne region.
- Limeul
- Saint Martin de Vers
- Espagnac Sainte Eulalie
- Saint Antonin Nobel Val
- Largentière
- Lavaudieu
- Autoire
- Carennac
- plus a whole bunch of villages around Clermont-Ferrand.
