Rome Food Tour

Last year when I visited Paris, I went on a wonderful "Paris by Mouth" tour, thanks to reading about the rave reviews here and on slowtrav. I am visiting Rome the first week in March and am hoping to find a similar tour there to visit some of the smaller food shops. Does anyone have any favorites to recommend?

We are staying in an apartment a few blocks away from Piazza Navona & would like to keep the price under 100 eurospp.

We have taken several small group tours with Katie Parla and had GTGs with TonyPolzer along with private wine/food pairing tastings with Tony as well.

Both are full of wonderful ideas. Plus, Katie has two books out -
'Tasting Rome: Fresh Flavors and Forgotten Recipes from an Ancient City'. 2016
And
'Walking Rome: The Best of the City'. Book by Katie Parla

The recently published Shapes and Sauces is a Bible worthy addition to anyone who cooks Italian library. She also translates ancient Roman stone inscriptions.

All this by preface to recommend her ancient Roman food tour. Little more expensive than your stated limit but a fabulous PhD level day on an incredibly unique "food tour". Tell her Mary Hanson says hi.
