Rome Friends, Please Help!

We're going to see U2 in Rome, at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday, July 15. Getting there shouldn't be too difficult - Google maps tells me I can take the Metro to the Ottaviano stop, then take the #32 bus. Getting back is my concern since Rome isn't known for adding transportation after large events.

The stadium is quite a distance from the Metro stop, and certainly too far to walk back to our hotel (The Beehive) near Termini. A friend suggested a taxi app called MyTaxi, but it gets terrible reviews on line, and I can't imagine it would be useful after a concert where it's basically a seller's market.

So, am I panicking in advance over nothing, or are my concerns justified? If they are justified, does anyone have any recommendations for transport after the concert?

I found some discussion on SlowTrav about Bruce Springsteen's show in 2009, and found this promised then, don't know if it will be similar this time:

The metro ran until 2 a.m., even though it doesn't go near the complex.
These bus lines continued with extra buses until 2 a.m.: 2, 32, 53, 69, 224, 271, 280, 446, 628, 910.
These night bus lines were "strengthened": n4, n5, n6, n7, n9, n10, n11, n13, n14, n15, n17, n18, n19, n21, n24.

Maybe the folks at the Beehive know something???
We went to a Bruce Springsteen show with lots of great after hours transport but it was in Trieste.

Steve from The Beehive didn't seem too hopeful - said when the Stones played Rome shut down the Metro. I too had heard about the Springsteen concert but had been led to believe that things were worse, not better, perhaps because of budget cuts?

I guess at this point I've done all can do to be prepared, and we'll just have to hope for the best! I'll take note of which busses run to which Metro stations, and just take whichever option seems easiest. Thank you!

But watch out for surge pricing if you are going to or from a concert. The horror story of the day was a couple who was charged $900 for an Uber trip to a music festival.

I think walking might be your best option. It is just under 4 miles (I checked on Google Maps). That will take an hour and a half. What a nice way to wind down after a concert!

Or walk for 30 minutes, then get a cab.

There is more to the story. Yes, surge was something like 8x that evening. However, the rider was originally quoted at $214. which they have to agree to when requesting the Uber. Then they asked the driver to make multiple stops, so the driver asks them to change the destinations. At that point, they wouldn't know what their new total would be. If I didn't know what the new total would be, I would have never requested multiple stops......especially at 8x surge.
