The Pudding Club

In a thread about day trips from Chipping Campden Kathy suggested we book an evening at the Three Way House for one of their famous Pudding Club Meetings. When I first went to the website I saw the Chocoholics session but alas, the dates don't work for us, so we'll have to 'settle' for all sorts of yummy puddings, custards, treacles and who knows what else?!

It's in the evening, which at first concerned me, but a map shows that it's only 7 minutes by car from Chipping Campden, and the road looks almost straight! I was worried about twisty country lanes at night, but I think we're safe! The only concern I have now is how to book. Apparently you can only book by calling, which seems odd since you can reserve a room at the inn via internet.

Pauline, would you mind giving them a ring (01386 438429)? The only date that works for us is July 24, and I'd hate to miss this! I guess I could call them with Skype, couldn't I? Well, if you don't mind checking for me Pauline, I'd appreciate it. If I need to give our CC number to book, then I'll just have to call them myself.

I called and they are fully booked for July 24, but they put me at the top of the waiting list and will phone if they have a cancellation, which he thought might happen. I put it under my name and phone number but told him it was for friends.

Don't worry if you don't get in, you can do your own pudding club in a tea room in CC!

Barb, we had fun at the Pudding Club last year. You'll have a small main course and then as much of the puddings as you would like. You sit at tables with other people and there's a bit of hoopla associated with it all.

Mickleton is just a few miles away from Chipping Campden... well signed on country roads, but it's below the escarpement, so you'll go down a hill and then up on the way back.

Enjoy!!
