Probably a good idea. I'm currently hesitant about visiting Europe in general until the conflict is resolved. So how does the possible conflict in Ukraine impact your travel plans?
We had planned to make a trip to Slovakia this spring but have put those plans on-hold with the uncertainty with what Russia might do in eastern Europe.
We are leaving April 8th for one week in Isle-sur-Marne. We are planning on doing day tours to the champagne wineries. I'm not the one booking them, but I hadn't heard of any problem. Worst case I'll have a car and we can do our own tours.A US friend reported that her friend was booked on a bike tour in France this spring and it was cancelled. Is anyone hearing reports of cancellations like this?
It is just heart breaking to watch this situation unfold. I would never have thought this could happen.
One possible affect is that the Ukraine has less than a 40% Covid vaccination rate, here in Italy it is 80%+. One story I saw said a location in northern Italy tested about 1000 refugees and 20% tested positive. It is still early, but France and Italy have started to report an increase in positive testing this past week.3 million refugees from Ukraine now going mostly into EU countries. That has to affect travel, doesn't it?
