They have an app that lets you purchase and download audio guides that show maps and guides you around a place. The app knows your location and plays when you reach one of its points.

Clive is going to give us a few free guides to try out and I’ll post about that on the Spain forum. But first I wanted to know if anyone here has used them.

Hi Pauline, thanks for the mention! VoiceMap contacted me just over a year ago saying that the content on my Ronda website was ideal for an audio guide. I was a bit apprehensive at first as I hadn't heard of them. But, the process of re writing my work for sound and recording my voice with the GPS map was fairly easy to do with the help of my editor. It has turned out to be a huge success and I have since gone on to create audio guides for Grazalema, Jerez de la Frontera and Cádiz.

Its pretty cool as you walk around a town and the audio kicks in automatically as you approach the monuments and places to see. Its great for people who want to go it alone rather than join a larger group on a guided tour.

I too would be interested if anyone here on Slow Europe has heard of VoiceMap and visited any of the places with the audio guides.

And yes, I have some free guides for Slow Europe forum members that might be visiting the areas I cover.
