An excellent first mystery in what I hope turns into a series. It is set in the present day in a town on Lake Iseo in northern Italy. The mystery involves an Italian woman who married a British visitor and the action takes place in Italy after her death. It is a good mystery and features Italian cooking. I don’t like books where the characters never eat. In this book you are with them for nearly every meal.

A good read. Recommended. It is available for the kindle in the US and UK, also in paperback in the UK.

Book 2 has been available for the last year and now book 3 “Traces of Silence” has been released. I’ve downloaded it!

This is a lovely and unique novel. The storyline and characters are well-developed, and the setting is beautiful.

I really liked this book and just submitted my review to Amazon. I have a free trial for Kindle Unlimited so was able to read it for “free” but this one is worth buying. This is a great series. I love the characters, the descriptions of the local area and the food, and the detailed mysteries. Highly recommended!
